L'Autre Continent

L'énergique Maria, qui veut devenir écrivain, quitte Paris pour s'installer à Taïwan où elle officie en tant que guide pour les touristes néerlandais. Heureuse d'avoir trouvé une nouvelle liberté, elle recontre Olivier, un Français très érudit qui parle encore plus de langues qu'elle (14 !) . Leurs personnalités ont beau être très différente, elle aventurière, lui beaucoup moins, ils finissent par tomber amoureux. Bientôt Maria doit subir un avortement et Olivier est atteint par une forme rare de leucémie. Au lieu de faire ce trek qu'elle prévoyait pour écrire son livre, elle racommpagne Olivier où il est suivi médicalement et commence sa radiothérapie...
